Back on a Sunday in early November, I met up with Quinn in her current neighborhood of Venice Beach. We started with some photos at the beach and boardwalk, took a break to grab coffee at Intellegentsia and ended with portraits in front of some local murals. It was a good afternoon with someone I feel very lucky to know.
I first met Quinn in the events leading up to my sister Amanda’s wedding. I instantly liked her. She hosted Amanda’s wedding shower, attended both Amanda’s bachelorette and Jed’s bacheolor party and threw the two of them a baby shower when they were expecting their daughter (my niece), Eleanor. The point being: Quinn is a great friend, fun loving, and incredibly generous. She is also hilarious, stylish, goofy, driven, creative, and smart.
For as long as I’ve known Quinn, she has encouraged me in my photography. I don’t know what I did to first garner her attention, but over these past few years her kind words, support, and confidence in me have been invaluable. It feels appropriate then, that she is the first subject in my portrait series.
It’s taken me far too long share these photos but here are my favorites from that November afternoon in Venice (there are a lot of them). Thank you Quinn!
